Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website at calgary.thehandymannetwork.ca (the "Site") and the services offered by Handyman Network Calgary ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site or request our services.

Our Services

Handyman Network Calgary provides handyman, home repair, renovation, and related services to homeowners in Calgary and surrounding areas. We coordinate skilled tradespeople and handymen to complete projects ranging from small repairs to larger renovations.

We are not a licensed contractor for regulated trades such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or gas fitting. Where a project requires a licensed trade, we project-manage and coordinate licensed, certified tradespeople to perform that work. We make reasonable efforts to ensure any tradesperson we refer or coordinate is appropriately licensed and insured, but the licensed trade itself is performed by and is the responsibility of that tradesperson.

Estimates and Quotes

Estimates and quotes provided through the Site or by our team are based on the information you give us and our assessment of the project at the time. Unless explicitly stated as a fixed-price quote, estimates are approximate. The final cost may vary if the scope of work changes, unforeseen conditions are discovered once work begins, or additional materials or labour are required.

We provide written, up-front estimates before work begins. No work will be performed and no charges will be applied without your approval. Any changes to the agreed scope will be communicated to you for approval before proceeding.

Our Guarantee

We stand behind the work we perform. If something isn't right, we will make it right — we are not satisfied until you are. This guarantee does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, improper maintenance, acts of nature, pre-existing conditions, or work performed by others. Materials are covered by the manufacturer's warranty where applicable. Regulated trade work is guaranteed by the licensed tradesperson who performs it under their own licence. Scheduling and Cancellations

Appointment and project scheduling is subject to availability. We will make reasonable efforts to honour scheduled dates and times, but weather, supply availability, and other factors beyond our control may cause delays. We will communicate any delays as soon as practicable.

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide as much notice as possible. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a call-out fee at our discretion.

Payment Terms

Payment terms, including deposits, progress payments, and final payment, will be specified in your written estimate or agreement. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due upon completion of the work. Accepted payment methods will be communicated to you at the time of booking.

Deposits, where required, are applied toward the total cost of the project and are non-refundable for work or materials already ordered or commenced.

Site Access and Conditions

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area, including parking, water, and electricity where needed. You are responsible for moving or protecting personal belongings; while we take care to protect your property, we are not liable for damage to items left in the immediate work area after we have begun work.

You agree to disclose any known hazards, including asbestos, mould, lead, gas leaks, or structural issues, before work begins. If hazardous conditions are discovered during the project, work may be paused until the condition is safely addressed.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Handyman Network Calgary shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from or related to the services we perform or the use of this Site. Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific work giving rise to the claim.

Website Use

You agree to use this Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict the use and enjoyment of, the Site by others. You agree not to misuse the forms on this Site by submitting false, misleading, or fraudulent information, or by attempting to disrupt or compromise the Site's security.

Intellectual Property

All content on this Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, and layout, is the property of Handyman Network Calgary or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this Site without our prior written permission.
